So today’s post is long over due! But it doesn’t make the information any less valuable. 😉 Back in October I had the opportunity to attend “An Evening in Barbados” hosted by the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. It was a great night filled with exclusive offers, product updates, prizes and of course dinner 🙂 Check out my recap below:
Quick Facts: Full of culture and life Barbados is 166 square mile divided into 11 parishes. They pretty much have great weather all year round with the average daytime temperature being between 84-88 degrees! Barbadians go by the saying, ” Long Live Life” which basically means everyday in Barbados is a celebration…lived with passion.

Barbados is the dining capital of the Caribbean with more restaurants per square mile than any other Caribbean destination. One local eatery you must experience is Oistin’s Fish Fry..where you can partake in excellent fish, lobster and chicken all cooked right in front of you.
Where to Stay: Elegant Hotels offers both all inclusive as well ultra luxury experiences. They offer 5 boutique hotels nestled upon stunning beaches. However, there were two in particular that stood out to me for an awesome honeymoon or romantic getaway.
The Tamarind is 750 square feet of beach front property, with dining experiences as close as possible to the beach. Newly renovated, they offer 3 swimming pool with one of them being adult only. The hotel features vibrant color & modern conveniences.
The House is an intimate and eclectic 34 room adult only boutique hotel. Newly renovated this hotel offers a complete pampering experience which include a jet lag massages. Wake up to complimentary champagne in your junior suite or 1 bedroom and then Enjoy a romantic dinner at Daphne’s restaurant. Whatever you decide you’ll be able to reconnect with the one you love.
Attractions & Festivals: The possibilities are endless for you to enjoy the diverse culture & wonderful experiences in Barbados. There’s surfing schools and cooking classes to Catamaran cruises and horse racing. Let’s not forget about the Jazz Festival in January as well as the Food & Rum Festival in November.
Barbados is one island that offers the perfect mix of culture, arts and sunny beaches. I’d definitely add this as an option to your list.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
