With everything moving to digital nowadays, you can virtually have everything you need to plan your wedding right at your fingertips or on your phone for that matter. Which is very important for the bride that is on the go. Gala Pal has offers a great service to manage everything from your guest list to your budget and more. Find out more about their service below!
1. Tell me more about your company and the services you provide?
Gala Pal (galapal.com) is a comprehensive event planning web application designed to help engaged couples seamlessly manage all aspects of their wedding planning. By offering a web-based centralized space for brides (and their grooms!) to plan the event of their dreams, our company aims to solve the wedding planning problem by taking the stress out of the equation.
The idea for Gala Pal was created because our founders were frustrated over the lack of good wedding planning tools. One website would have one tool that kind of worked and another website would have another tool that sort of worked, but they were unable to find a website that had all of the tools that really worked. So Christine and Jonathan decided to make the event planning tools themselves!
2. How is this beneficial to brides?
.Gala Pal is useful, whether you have a wedding planner or not. By offering a centralized location to plan a wedding, we hope to give brides the opportunity to plan a wedding to remember without breaking their budget.
3. Explain how it works for those who don’t know?
Gala Pal is divided into two main features. Couples can use the Contacts Manager to save the names, address and phone numbers of friends, family and wedding vendors. But the heart of Gala Pal is our Events Manager. Subscribers can use a multitude of tools:
- Build guest lists and send off invitations with the Guest Manager, pull guests as needed from the Contacts Manager
- Keep track of who’s coming, who can’t make it and who hasn’t responded yet with our RSVP Manager
- Use our Milestone Tool to create tasks and stay ahead of upcoming deadlines
- Add family and friends as Helpers to assist you with the planning process
- Maintain control over your budget by using the Budget Tracker to:
4. What is the fee for using your site?
It is absolutely 100% free to create an account with Gala Pal. A free account gives you access to our Contacts Manager (where you can add unlimited contacts) and access to the Dashboard.
Gala Pal offers a 15 day free trial of the Events Manager tools. You do need a credit card to sign up for the free trial, but it will not be charged if you cancel before the trial is over. Once you decide to keep the Events Manager as part of your account, , the membership price is $9.99/month.
5. With new event planning sites popping up daily, what makes your company different?
We believe that keeping your wedding organized helps to keep it stress-free and fun. With that in mind, what makes Gala Pal great is that it’s web-based—so you can access your account anywhere, anytime—and centralized—you can plan all aspects of your wedding in one place. We’ve organized the site so that, although your events can become increasingly complex, it’s always easy to keep track of everything.
The feature we think helps Gala Pal stand out the most is our RSVP Manager. This tool helps couples stay within budget by projecting what your costs may be based upon the number of people invited. Don’t worry about calculating – Gala Pal automatically tracks the actual cost based upon how many people RSVP’d yes! (learn more here).
6. What’s next for Gala Pal?
Eventually we’re hoping to create a Gala Pal Pro version to help wedding planners manage juggling several weddings. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
