Happy Monday beautiful people!! Ok, so I’ve been holding this here post hostage for a while now so I thought I’d go ahead and pull the plug. I’ve been following the Instagram accounts of Ellen Ector & Lana Ector-the mother daughter duo behind Black Girl’s Workout Too movement for some time now. In fact, I’ve even purchased their first dvd with the aforementioned name. And although the first dvd had a few mishaps here and there it still gave you a great workout. But, man this second dvd titled “Black Girl’s Workout 2” these ladies have stepped up their game!
The dvd begans by showing a few before and after pics of real women who actually look like me curves and all…these women are the actual girls who workout in the dvd alongside the Ector women. How cool is that? It begins with a warmup and then they alternate between leading the group in various workouts that include cardio, squats, kettle ball routine, strength training and even a great routine for your booty! This 45 minute dvd really gives you a full body workout and is worth every penny. Especially, if you’re looking to shed a few pounds before your big day or after. With heart disease being one of the leading causes of death among African-American woman we must do what we can do take care of our bodies and health. I highly recommended this at home workout for ANY woman looking to get a jump start on their health with exercise.
One last thing, the duo actually has a physical gym location here in Atlanta..it’s called Gymnectics Fitness. They offer customized weight loss programs as well as group training.
